Hi specialists,

How about effects when crystal is broken or falut? my crystal is 11.0592MHz.
I have using AT89S52 and MAX232 to send a very simple string to COM port,

just simple to send printf("hello"); to COM port.

When I power ON after, sometimes the string can normal to received in ,
but sometimes I can't receive any string.

Therefore, I tried to power ON/OFF a few times, the string message can normal to send to COM port again,
I know it is a stupid way. But I don't know how to find the tough problem.
I have already to change a new MAX232, but still not solve it.

Try to blink with a LED, for example 1000ms on, 1000ms off. That shows you whether the crystal is ok.
