How can I add a wire grabber to my multimeter ?

Hello,

I have a basic multimeter with simple probes.

I would like to connect it to wire grabbers but I don't know what to buy. I think my multimeter uses 4mm banana plugs but I am not sure. Can anyone confirm this (see linked picture) and give me a piece of advice about what to choose for a reasonable price ?

Thank you in advance.

Looks like standard "banana" plugs.

Depending on what you mean by "wire grabbers", could be standard "crocodile clips" or the ones which you push to open. The crocodile clips with plastic covers can be pushed on to the probes you have, but are frequently very poorly constructed.

I use ordinary crocodile clips like these: File:Alligator clips 444.jpg - Wikipedia

You can squish the metal tube (under the colored plastic) with pliers until they fit your probes snugly.

There's also special multimeter clips like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290616346106 but they cost more.

So if I do not want a crocodile clip but a model I'd push to open like this one, I do also need a cable with male banana plugs on both ends, that's it ?

Save yourself some trouble:

Thanks !
