How can I be sure that I'm not destroying my Arduino (tinkercad)?

Hey everyone, I'm a beginner with a silly quoestion? How can I be sure that I'm not destroying my board? There is no warning signal when I create a short circuit in tinkercad.
Thanks

Only by checking very carefully !!

When you design and build make sure you use clear layouts with different coloured wires and make sure you have no power connected to any I/O pin when the Arduino is not powered .

Never used or found the need for a simulator
