I have a 3.7v 1300mah li-ion battery which powers a 3.3v arduino. It works fine I input the power using the raw port which can take up to 12v without damaging the board. I'm trying to keep the project as small and cheap as possible. So what if i connect 2 extra wires to the battery and charge it with 3.7v while the battery is feeding the arduino. Will the voltage go up? since it is charging and gets discharged to the arduino. I'm kind of lost i see some charging packs which manages this, but i want to keep it small and simple.
To charge an Li-ion battery, you need a charger intended for that purpose.
That type of battery is easily destroyed by overcharging and overdischarging.
Thanks for the reply, i looked around and bought a arduino charging board instead.
