How can I use Arduino IDE on a Chromebook with Circuit Playground Express?

I am trying to use a chromebook with arduino.cc to code using Arduino IDE and download the code to a circuit playground express. Any tips? I cannot get the Arduino.cc to recognize the CPE.
This Chromebook and CPE works successfully with MakeCode.

Hi @dvsvinis. Are you using the Arduino Chrome App, or the Arduino IDE?

I have installed and am trying to use Arduino Create for Education (this is a chrome app). I am willing to use whatever I need to however to be able to download a sketch to the Circuit Playground Express. Whatever makes it possible...
