My educated guess is that your requirements cannot be met with the hardware you have chosen.

I would start with looking at professional/commercial solution available. This will give you an idea what range you can achieve and the price will give you a general idea what kind of hardware/design experience will be required. Compare price, range, frequency used for transmission, antenna build in vs external for a start.
