How do I access the rules of this forum ?

Where are the rules of this forum so I know what can and cannot be questioned here ?

I asked a question that I already replied to in another forum regarding how I could protect my system against intrusions, or how fragile my system is when I use communication between two esp's and my topic was closed.

Therefore I would like to follow the rules of this forum. Where can I access them ?

I found something here:
" How to get the best out of this forum

Under the title:
"Forum rules and netiquette"

This one?

It is not closed.

It is marked as solved. You did that. You can mark it as not solved if you want.

Thanks. But this is just a compilation of behaviors gathered by another user. Very cool. But they are not the official rules of this forum.

It is obvious that any questions related to breaking the law are not welcome on the forum.

You may want to see https://www.arduino.cc/en/terms-conditions

5.2 The User is liable for the Content published on Platform and/or provided to Arduino and undertakes not to publish, upload or otherwise make available to the public through the Platform Content that:

  1. is false, illegal, misleading, defamatory, slanderous, intimidating, offensive or in any other way contrary to law and public morality;
  2. offends Users, Arduino or the online community;
  3. may constitute, encourage, promote or incite unlawful conduct;
  4. are in breach, at Arduino sole discretion, of patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyright (meaning also licenses or license schemes, open source, GPL, Creative Commons or other standards used by Arduino community) or any other intellectual or industrial property rights;
  5. constitutes promotions or trade communications;
  6. at the sole discretion of Arduino, is in any other manner questionable or unconnected to the subject matter of the interactive areas in which the Content is published

Now yes. Thanks. Item 5.

Please do not post in "Uncategorized"; see the sticky topics in Uncategorized - Arduino Forum.

Topic moved to a more suitable location on the forum.

A nebulous "Terms and Condition" written by a non-participating governing body is inferior in every way to "How to get the best results" by an approved (by the governing body), practicing user. Working with the forum "system" people is the best move, even if you have concern about disagreement. Hold your position. What is the worst that can happen, your account is deleted? Many more communities exist. Make it fun for you.

Correct.

I'm not a programmer, I'm just a hobbyist. And I already posted the same question on another forum. If it were possible to block users here it would be great. Although most users here are good people. Thank you, Health and Peace.

It is possible, and in your profile page.

If you're talking about the thread on breaking into your neighbors garage (no matter what YOU call it, that's how the law will see it) then I think they are right to close that.

sometimes I really regret that there is no dislike button on the forum

It's like when you see the video of the guy opening up the ice cream and licking it and putting it back on the shelf. And then they act like it's some kind of funny joke or a prank. There's no words for people like that.

I have transcribed the text I published in English into Portuguese (because I always translate from Portuguese into English before posting). There is still no perfect translator. That's a shame. Some things come out wrong, others change the meaning. I used those ones examples to ask whether transmissions using wifi between two esp's would also be fragile. I thought it rather childish to associate it with illegal activities. But it doesn't matter. I came here to thank my colleague xfpd who confirmed to me in post #13 that this forum has the means to block participants. This is great news. Hugs and peace.

Do what you want with technology and others' good intentions. It reminds me of my parents telling me to do whatever I want with my first motorcycle, as long as they didn't have to waste time dragging my corps out of the woods. I could tell they cared.

As I recall you specifically asked how to disrupt communications between two devices.

Maybe not such a good idea to publish the instructions for this so openly ?

You can ignore members if you don't like to see what they write. I've done that months ago, it's not to late - you still can do it :wink:

I did this last year, now the blocking period has just ended :slight_smile:
