How do I connext the LM1117 regulator to my NRF24L01?

I have recently bought some LM1117 regulators, but before they arrive, I want to ask how I will connect it to my radio.

From my research, there are four pins Input, Output, Gnd, and Vcc

How will that connect? I assume it is Input to 5v of Arduino, Gnd to gnd , Vcc to Nrf Vcc, and same gnd to gnd of radio...

Where did you get that information. The Texas Instruments datasheet just shows 3 terminals. It also shows typical connection diagrams.

Well, I said 4 terminals because I thought the top was a lead or something. I think I was referring to a different package though. The guy said that the regulators come in different packages. But, the pinout is input, output, gnd, and Vout

The manufacturer's datasheet is a great deal more reliable.

So, I connect the pins as any person would, like gnd to gnd...

But is a capacitor necessary for proper function?

You have not said what capacitor you are asking about.

If you are talking about capacitors for the LM1117 then follow the advice of the datasheet.

If you are asking about putting a 10µF capacitor on the nRF24 then, yes, it is a good idea.

I am referring to the lm1117, but I don't have 10uF or 100uF caps.

Perhaps I can salvage from an old toy?

Thanks, I guess...

Your welcome.
