How do I control a Bipolar Captive linear actuator with arduino and Easy Driver

Hello, I have been researching for days and cannot find any information related to what I need to do. Here are the things I have:

Captive Bipolar Linear Actuator

Easy Driver - Stepper Motor Driver

Arduino Uno

I have tried the wiring diagram on the Sparkfun site with the Easy Driver. My motor makes some sound but it doesnt really move.
I thought this Easy Driver would work with a linear actuator but so far I do not have any luck.
Research tells me that a linear actuator acts just like any other stepper motor so the Easy Driver should works just fine. can someone give me some hints or information to move forward please, thank you

Where is the motor power coming from? You need an external power supply of at least 6V and 1.5 Amps.
Which motor do you have, 5V or 12V?

Post a diagram showing how YOU have connected your motor and Arduino. A photo of a clear pencil drawing will be best. See this Simple Image Guide

Post the program that YOU have uploaded to your Arduino.

Tell us what motor power supply you are using (volts and amps).
