How do I install Arduino Uno R3 into Windows 10

This details the install process on Windows OS up to Windows 10:-

Edit: The above assumes that you have an original Arduino/Genuino UNO R3, or if a clone, one with an ATMega16U2 USB to TTL converter.

If it's a clone with a CHG340 chip instead, you'll need to search online for the driver. It should be easy to find and install. My clones use the ATMega16U2 chip, so I've never needed to hunt down the CHG340 driver.
