how do I turn led on over network?

I have this app on my iPhone called ardumote. How do I get the arduino with wifi shield to communicate over wifi? I am new to programming also. What language is easiest to program with on arduino? So I would like to turn the led on over the network from my phone? Thanks!

Arduino is programmed in C++ + a bunch of extra commands, the easiest way to learn is spend a few evenings on the tutorial site as most commands are not too difficult.

Do you have a WiFi router that the Arduino is connecting to? It can not create a hot spot by itself.

So, the Arduino needs to be a server, and your iPhone can connect using a browser.
