Have you verified that the control protocol for your MIC10937 is actually the same as for the VAF1613? You could probably compare the two datasheets. Certainly the MIC10937 datasheet gives plenty enough information. If they're different then you're just going to need to write code to match the specifications in the MIC10937 datasheet.
I'm not sure exactly how to do that unfortunatly I'm still pretty new at that extent of arduino programing.
