Your property is facing the wrong way.
Rotate 180deg, then the sun would be on the dark driveway tiles.

I actually do miss that removal of snow 
It's approximately 30 years ago that I have experienced some decent snow. Where I live now people start jumping up-and-down when there is snow that looks like angels shaking a blanket clean; the tiniest of fluffs.
There must be a snow on winter, or there is no winter otherwise.
