How to 3 meters of I2C cable

I need to connect SHT31 (I2C) to a 3 meter CAT5 LAN cable. Does it take anything to make the operation hassle-free?

I2C is a chip-to-chip on-board interface. It is in the name: Inter-Integrated Circuit

There are limits to the amount of capacitive load an I/O pin of a microcontroller or sensor can drive and also a limit to the amount of inductive load that your pins will be able to withstand. A long wire has both. There are reasons why there are transceiver chips used in interfaces like RS-232, CAN, Ethernet ... which support longer distances.
