How to assemble reliably ?

I want to use arduino for a device that will be exposed to vibrations (in a 4x4 vehicle and then in a backpack).
It isn't a complex project, I only need the arduino plus 2 relais, 6 4N33 optocouplers, resistors etc
In principle, only one will be assembled.
The first problem I have is how to bring the arduino IO ports to
another board (that has to be larger than a proto shield)

What would you do ? Thanks for your advice.

(This kind of "silly" assemble problem has always frustrating to me)

For my MMC board, I've just got a small prototype board (about 3cm by 5cm and riddled with holes) with header pins soldered in to the bottom.
You can do the same thing but with a larger prototype board.

Either that or solder wires to some header pins and do it that way.
