How to assign top, bottom, right and left to lcd screen?

I've had an idea in my head for quite sometime now, but I'm unsure of how to go about it. I'm beginner with Arduino, so I may use the wrong terminology.

I would like to have a box that is 4 sided, with each side having its own lcd. When the box is shook and lands on any 4 of the sides it'll know that it is facing up on at least one of the sides. Which then will show a picture.

Any advice on where to read up on this? would I need to use a certain sensor in order to assign the top, bottom and side to side?
