How to compare two codes

Hi,
How to compare two sketches with just a little deference?
Thanks
Adam

Which operating system are you using?

(sp. "difference")

Thanks.
Win7 64 and Arduino IDE 1.8

I open 2 instances of the IDE and put them side by side with one of the files in each. Then I can compare them line by line.

Otherwise there are text file comparison tools online or that you can download. Search for "compare text files".

My favourite file comparison tool for Windoze was "beyond compare", but I'm not sure if that's a free download

Maybe look into

 https://cygwin.com/

"Get that Linux feeling - on Windows", a slew of tools including diff and grep, without which more than a few of us would be unhappy.

diff is the standard *nix tool for file comparison.

Learning curve ahead, but these tools are widely known and with help from your good friend google can be used at a relatively low level of competence and understanding.

Thanks for all.

Try winmerge. It has a good view for spotting differences.
