How to connect keyboard to Arduino Duemilanove

Hello...
I'm new in Arduino..I would like to make a project that similar to text to sound where when user type a word, Arduino will say it in sound via mp3 files. But I have no idea how to type that word and display it on LCD screen. Is it possible for me to use normal keyboard? If Yes, how to connect the keyboard and Arduino Duemilanove?

There are several different types of keyboard connectors. The two most common are PS/2 and USB. As Richard points out, one will be easier to use than the other.
