How to connect Leonardo to MAX7219?

I am going through the article Interfacing LED displays with the MAX7219 driver (Gammon Forum : Electronics : Microprocessors : Interfacing LED displays with the MAX7219 driver) and was wondering how this would work with a Leonardo? I got it working with a Pro Mini :wink: I am using Arduino 1.5.6-r2
