how to connect spektrum ar600 to arduino uno?

Today I bought a Spektrum DX5e transmitter with an AR600 receiver. I asked the guy in the shop if that ar600 receiver would provide an analoge voltage between 0 and 5 volts so I could hook the thing on my analog gates of my arduino uno.

That does not work.

I plugged the receiver into the GND, 5V and A1 input and I tried to read the value of it. I also tried the 3.3V pin for the juice.

I used the throttle output of the receiver.

I succesfully connected the transmitter and receiverer. But there are 2 problems,

1, I can only a measure a voltage of 160mV to 260mV instead of my promised 0V to 5V.

And 2, despite my attempts to remap that small range to a number between 0 and 1023. I get - 1818 and some pikes in 3000.

another thing, I explained to the guy in the shop that I was going to use it for my RC tank which uses only DC motors. but I believe/fear that every other output is used for servos??

Does anybody know how to connect that tranceiver to my arduino uno. The main Idea is that I controll 4 DC motors with this combination.
