How to control a stepper motor using a ps2 mouse?

Hi there!
I am trying to control a stepper motor using a ps2 mouse.

so far this is what I managed to do:
connect the ps2 mouse using this example (Arduino Playground - Ps2mouse)- work!

Connect the stepper motor using this example (http://lusorobotica.com/index.php/topic,106.0.html)(and sparkfun easydriver card) - work!

What I'm trying to do is, when moving the mouse on the X axis (left-right) the stepper motor will also move left or right, according to the mouse.

When moving on the Y axis - the stepper should move right/left but faster.

I don't know how to start? if someone has a code/can show me a quick example that will be great!!

Thank you,

Eran

I will appreciate any help, it's a bit urgent... THANKS!

Ummm. Stepper motors don't move left or right. They rotate.

Can you read the position of the mouse? Can you tell when it is moving left or right, up or down?

If you can tell the motion/position of the mouse and you can drive the stepper motor, driving the stepper motor in response to the mouse movement should be easy.

Well, that's enough homework help for now...

Not trying to be rude, but you can't post a request for someone to write you code for a simple sketch and then expect them to do it in less than 2 hour besides. ::slight_smile:

Especially at 4 AM. :o

photo-worx its 4am only in your country, in europe it was about 11 am :stuck_out_tongue:
