in this case, I am using MG996R. I programmed in matlab and use arduino as the microcontroller, the smallest angle step that i can set is 1.8 degree. I am looking forward to get smaller degree for accuracy. Thank You
I know nothing about what Matlab might do but using the normal Servo library write(angle) gives 1 degree steps or writeMicroseconds(xxxx) allows changes of 1 microsecond pulse width which equates to roughly 1000 steps in 180 degrees.
But that's just theoretically.How accurate these really are depends on how the particular servo reacts to small changes in the PWM signal. Hobby servos like the MG996R are not precision devices. You'll have to do your own testing.
