Dear Friends,
I need help in detecting fire reliably using a CCD or any other camera and arduino. Is it possible?
Or shall I use raspberry pi for this along with their own camera?
Or a combination or raspberry pi and arduino would be a good solution to detect fire reliably (may be I will need to use multiple cameras)?
Please help me with this. I am ready and willing to do some experiments in this area.

Never used one of them, but if you look on eBay there are lots of cheap "flame sensor modules".

why a camera, are you trying to track the fire location in space
Thermal camera then: it will be able to track fire reliably.
