I thought about a hardware solution to bring in an additional 555 timer IC. The idea was to just trigger the 555 and let the IC deal with the gate off. But I think this might be overkill, since I need several of those devices?
I would go for this solution as a monostable would clear the code of triggering several precise and short pulses. The only down side is that you can get drift with temperature and you would need a pot in the RC circuit and a scope to adjust the timing because capacitor tolerances are normally loose for affordable priced parts.
Thanks! I do not necessarily need exactly the mentioned 450us, the gates just have to be even and should not jitter.
I have seen there is a "Quad-Timer" in one chip based on the 555 available. I will try to get one and do some tests.
Still would prefer a software solution if it is doable...
