  • HOW to export data from arduino to csv file (WIRELESS) ? for monitoring system

To create a .csv file from Arduino on a PC or Mac:

  1. On the Arduino use Serial.print() to send comma separated values.

  2. On the PC or Mac, instead of the serial monitor, run a terminal program that can create a log file, and save the comma separated serial data to the log file. Use .csv as the log file extension.

Wireless serial adapters can be used to make the connection.

The simplest way to do this is via bluetooth, and record the data in a proper terminal programme like RealTerm.

It is just a matter of formatting with commas between the data and a lineshift at the end. The Arduino code can be exactly the same as that used for sending the data to the serial monitor via USB cable.

There are other more powerful wireless options.

I use processing for example.
See https://github.com/f41ardu/Arduino_Serial

Connect a bluetooth dongle, i.e. a HC-05 to your Arduino using softwareserial and implement the Processing code shon in my example.

But be aware a blutooth adapter has a low range only (~ 10 - 15 m).

Nowadays I start to use ESP-05 and a WIFI connection.
