How to get Ariadne on the MEGA

I have tried just about everything I could find on the internet on how to get the Ariadne bootloader onto the Mega with no real success. It is also clear that a lot of other people are struggling with this.

In addition there is apparently a problem with the Ariadne on the Mega, so it doesn't support more memory than 32 kb, i.e. like an Uno or Ethernet.

Can somebody come up with a complete clear and simple solution for these issues?

What is Ariadne? Did you mean Arduino?
I suggest Nick Gammon's bootload installer sketch.
