How to give an Arduino Wi-Fi direct capability?

Is there a module that can give the Wi-Fi direct capabilities?

The closest I could find is the ESP8266, but unfortunately that only acts as a soft access point and is not using the Wi-Fi Direct protocol (unfortunately this won't fit my needs)

Arduino Yun/compatible with latest OS Chaos Calmer does support 802.11s. 802.11s could connect end-user devices without infrastructure

  • P2P (Wi-Fi Direct)
  • IBSS (ad-hoc)

No official Chaos Calmer support arduino yun yet! compile it yourself.
