How to incorporate an arduino mega into my PCB?

Hey guys I'm new to PCB design and am trying to use the mega as the MCU for my project. I was wondering what parts from the available schematic of the mega board would I need to incorporate on my pcb? My project is a robot that will have several RFID modules on its back. The chip will interfacing with multiple RFIDs, ultrasonic sensors, and motor drivers. I essentially just need a way to interface with it the chip to program it, the crystal oscillator for the clock, and pin headers to connect the devices. Is there anything else I require to make the mega function properly?

I guess you are including pullup resistors for SCL/SDA, a button and RC for the reset line

We could better help if you posted a complete annotated schematic.

If pcb real estate is available, I would also add a power-on LED and a “builtin” LED. The latter can work as a heartbeat with a couple of lines of code, useful to, well, see if your program is still alive.

You can connect them via DIP switches so they won’t consume power when not needed.

okay understood, im mostly right now tryna see what I can remove from arduino mega 2560 schematic right now. I believe they include a power on-led
