how to insert a code panel into a forum posting

Where ar the instructions for inserting a quote or code panel in to a forum posting?

There is a menu of symbols above the edit box but for some reason it doesn't work on the Safari browser.

To put in a quote use the tags quote and /quote in SQUARE BRACKETS.

To put in code, use the tags code and /code in square brackets.

To quote an entire post, click on the "Quote" link in the upper right of the post.

To insert a quote after you have started replying, click on the "Insert Quote" link at the top right of the post/reply you want to quote.

Thanks,

It should be simple but I did it wrong the first try. If I survive the criticism I will do it properly next time

Having made an attempt, even if wrong, will minimize the criticism. Having made an attempt to learn the proper way works even better.

By the way, you CAN edit (modify) a post, and correct your attempt.

And that is the modify option (Paul you can change that in your post too

And now for the pretty graphical version...

Please click Modify ( or ) on your post, select the source code, click the button above the edit window, then click .
