i purchased hp laptop over a year back and now since windows 10 have arrived, i want to get it updated.
since so many months automatic upgradation is popping up and i was trying few times to update it, but it gets failed every time.
Last month somehow it was updating and i dont know what happened my all softwares such as skype google chrome , microsoft office 2016 and some more apps got deleted and shockingly windows 8.1 came into its place and i could not update my windows!
thank god my files in C F drive does not get affected.
So, one of my friend told me to contact hp laptop support , i had a word with them they said to get it repaired and everything will be formatted.
So i am confused whether to get it updated or not, because how can i give it in untrusted hands!
please suggest maybe i can update from home only.
Mm, HP formatting everything sounds weird... But okay, loosing all software does also. And you had Windows 7 before?
I would say, just look for a tech "kid" in you neighborhood and let him fix it 
If you're Dutch, I might be in the neighborhood.
So any 'normal' update path (through MS) wont let you upgrade to Windows 10?
What errors/codes does it produce on why it fails? ('gets failed' is not a technical error code to research on)
This is the Arduino\Electronic Forum, would you not be far better for your first post asking for help in one of the many Forums dedicated to Windows or HP Computers ?
