How to know the version of the microcontroller on Nano

I would like to know the version of the microcontroller on the Arduino Nano that I bought.
If is atmel168 or atmel328.

Just look to the chip and read the text..

The man page for avrdude will explain how to use it to identify the processor - or you can simply try downloading a sketch trying the relevant board settings.
