i have this weird motor out of a device which has nothing written on it most probably 12v. how to know whether it is pwm motor or not.
If it is a normal DC motor it can probably be driven with a PWM signal.
I have heard that coreless motors don't like PWM control, but I have also heard the opposite.
Try it on a light load first and then gradually increase the load. If it gets too hot you know you have a problem.
If it is a valuable motor, or one that is difficult to replace, get better advice.
