How to make an ultrasonic sensor?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to make my own ultrasonic sensor to measure distances using a transducer that works both as a transmitter and as a receiver, I have found on the web some examples for the transmitting circuit and the receiving circuit but I don't know how can I change or switch the operation mode: as a transmitter or as a receiver.

can someone help me or share with me some example or documentation of that? very thanks.

I think before you start a circuit, you must know what your ultrasonic sensor requires and provides.
They are all operated at their resonant frequency so you need to know that.

Typically the transmit and receive circuits are both connected to the sensor at the same time. The receiver needs to be protected from the large transmit voltage(s).

The ultrasonic sensor needs no switching to transmit or receive.
If you power the sensor it transmits.
If you monitor the voltage is receives.
