How to make piezo disc louder

Hi. So how do I make a bare piezo disc louder? It is really quiet and how do I make it louder?

Is this a continuation of your earlier thread about piezos?
https://forum.arduino.cc/t/how-do-i-know-if-my-buzzer-is-piezoelectric/909337
Was it not more or less determined there, that the device you have is an electromagnetic speaker, not a piezo?

Also, whether or not this is a duplicate thread, wouldn't it be a good idea to provide some information about the "bare piezo" that you are referring to?

Also, what kind of sound do you wish to make louder? It matters because small transducers have very narrow bandwidth and sometimes are also very resonant at certain frequencies.

AND... there is no information about your present driving circuit.

This is the piezo disc and no it is not a continuation.

You make it louder by driving it with a higher AC voltage, up to the level where you fracture the piezo crystal.

How

Since we are in an Arduino forum, I guess you want to use an Arduino. So, use a 5 volt Arduino. Connect the piezo between two pins. Write code to make one pin high and the other pin low. Alternate the high/low at a the resonate frequency of the piezo.

wdym write code i already have cpde i just need to know how to make the disc speak louder

you need to apply high voltage to it, 50V++ , look inside this door alarm

transistor base + 1k resistor to arduino

Don't exceed the 30V Peak specification you posted.

So, a full schematic and oscilloscope readings are not enough for you?

Or use ToneAC instead of Tone (piezo between two pins) .
That also eliminates the need for LarryD's circuit.

How loud a piezo disk sounds depends on how/where the piezo is mounted on, because they don't do a lot without a 'soundboard'.

bruh I don't even know how to read them I'm only 11

Then what do you expect from the Arduino forum?
Paul

Then what are you up to this time? If you can't follow technical solutions, you need to explain your project so we at least have a small chance of being able to guide you to a solution. Because, every solution will be technical.

ok well excuse me if im not as knowledgeble at electronics then you

But, what else were you expecting from the forum?

Paul

I'm simply pointing out that your lack of experience makes technical advice useless to you. So what is your plan? You ask a question, we answer, you say you don't understand. Where can we go from there? It's not possible to make a house call to fix your problem.
