How to mount this dc-dc converter?

Since it got no holes for screws, I wonder how you would properly mount this module?

Edit: Here's a picture of the module.

It has two mounting holes, in fact. Next to IN+ and OUT-

My bad. I updated my post.

When I had to mount a similar module, I just snapped four single pins off a breakway male header strip, soldered the individual header pins into the holes and used them as standoffs to mount the module on a PCB.

Other options include:

  • A 3D printed mounting bracket that the PCB fits in snugly.
  • A thick, padded type of double-sided tape can be used to tape the back of the PCB to a housing etc.
  • Use stiff wire for either Vin or Vout connections and suspend the module from those wires (it doesn't weigh much anyway).

I see. I don't have a PCB. Do you think it will work with a breadboard as well?

I can't see any reason why not.

It has four holes in the corners. I would just use some nylon screws and standoff insulator. A simple Google of "nylon screws and standoffs" will give you plenty of hits.

Hotglue. Zipties. Sometimes hotglue AND zipties if I'm feeling super duper. A tiny dab of hot glue on the set screw so the voltage never changes accidentally works, too.
