Ok so i dont hav an arduino yet but i am planning on getting the arduino pro 5v version....well i have a drone that i am gonna run flashing police leds off of via arduino.....i know how to wire leds but my drone has a usb port for recording video but i took a usb phone chargiing cord and got the ground and positive wire from it so now i can run something off it.....i want to run the arduino off the usb port but where do i solder the ground and positive wire to in arduino.....could u circle it in a picture or something thanks!....just to let everyone know in advance that usb gives off 5v.
Well if you go to the Product page on this site for the Pro Mini (http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardProMini) you will see various discussion about the power pins. One of the discussion points has a link to the manufacturer's tutorial (Using the Arduino Pro Mini 3.3V - SparkFun Learn). If you scroll down that tutorial, you should see the picture of how to power the Pro Mini.
Well all i need is what 2 holes to pojnt positive and negative wire......i know how to solder so thats not an issue.....thanks for ur answer tho
If you are using the ProMini, connect 5V line to VCC, and Gnd to Gnd. You will be bypassing the 5V regulator.

If you went to the second document I posted, and scroll down there is a picture of which pins to connect to.
Im not using the pro mini......just the pro
