How to power up arduino

Hi,
I've decided to make my own ODBII data loger for my car based on Freematics OBD-II Adapter for Arduino | ArduinoDev.com. But I'm stuck with question can I power up arduino directly from ODBII? Or should I make seperate wire connection with 12V current (for example from car lighter).

I usle ODB2 interface with ELM327, on output I've already have Tx,Rx signals.

You can take power from pin 16 of the ODBII connector, that's what it's there for.

Great. Thank you.
