How to prevent Arduino from getting stuck if SD card is disconnected

I am using an SD card in my project to log data. The program I use is quite long, so I will not post it all, however the SD card is used exactly like in the example sketch below.

In my project there is the possibility of the SD wire connections getting disconnected by accident. However I still want the program to continue normally if the wires get disconnected (except from logging the data). However if I disconnect CS or MISO the sketch stops and doesn't do anything anymore. How could I solve that?

Solder them in place!

I am using 2 shields. Therefore that would be very difficult to do. Also the sd card may fail (for example due to water or similar things)

Need to add better error handling or exception handling software. Apparently you haven't got it yet.
Look at the example for SDfat.h library, see if you can get set some ideas there. I don't know what to suggest otherwise.

So the problem is just with the SD card, and there are no other SPI devices in the 'project' ?
