How to push a button to play video on PC

I am a beginner and for a school project I would like to start a video on the computer by pressing a push button on Arduino Uno. I know the code for the push button, but I don't know how to start a video on the computer. Does anyone have a code for this or can help me?

That sounds more like a PC question, perhaps better to post on a PC or video forum. Have you gotten as far as being able to send push button codes as PC keypresses?

But he uses Python and I don't know how that works and I don't fully understand the code
