How to read a dry-contact ?

Hi all,

For a small project I need to read the state of a dry-contact (open or close). I’m getting two external wires that I don’t know where to connect them on the Nano33IoT.
And I don’t know the code to read it.

Can you please help me?

Thanks

Do you know how to read inputs of other Arduinos? You may need a resistor or internal pull up pull down.

https://store.arduino.cc/arduino-nano-33-iot shows something about IO pins and Button example might work. Text on the board is so small that I cannot read it but that example probably would/should? work if you find correct pins.

From example
"Button

Turns on and off a light emitting diode(LED) connected to digital pin 13,
when pressing a pushbutton attached to pin 2.

The circuit:

  • LED attached from pin 13 to ground

  • pushbutton attached to pin 2 from +5V

  • 10K resistor attached to pin 2 from ground

  • Note: on most Arduinos there is already an LED on the board
    attached to pin 13."
