Is it possible to run arduino on some non-laptop but rather some LCD display kind of thing they often have at shops for menu?
I want something compact, maybe a small super cheap computer than can run arduino and processing?

Do you mean like this? ...
Those LCD screens you see are all connected to some sort of computer.
i dont need user interaction just something to display info to user.....
i will be running arduino ide and processing ide...should i just look for very cheap laptops? if so which one would do the job?

I don't know what that means. How big a screen are you thinking about?

I suppose you could probably find an embedded PC with graphics capability, but it would be far easier and cheaper just to use an old laptop. Presumably you want a keyboard, too. Will you be using a pointing device as well? Sounding more and more like a conventional PC/laptop is what you need.
I guess I will buy a laptop then, what do I need to do to run arduino/processing code without source code visible? and also, what should I look for when buying laptop to run arudino or processing or there arnet any serious requirements?
What are you really trying to do here? Tell us the truth.

Why do you need to do this? Normally when you use an Arduino the source code is not visible.
Look:
No source code visible.
