Hello Arduino forum,
There is a ton of great info on the forum.
But am having difficulty looking for a particular topic,
Maxim 7219.
Am I missing the search button?
There is magnifying glass icon in the upper right hand
but it seems to search the over all site, not the forum.

You can also just use Google and add site:arduino.cc as part of the search term.

Try to reduce search criteria to actual part numbers.
google search for: [color=maroon]max7219 site:forum.arduino.cc[/color] has about ten times as many results as
maxim 7219 site:forum.arduino.cc
but what if I want to search within a particular forum Header like
"Arduino Forum> Using Arduino> Project Guidance "
WHy is there not a search option so I can search within that particular topic instead of having to go through a million posts? This is a basic function of any other forum I've been in on any other web site.
Knowing HOW to use the internet helps.
Two words enclosed in seperate quotes often gets you pretty much in the ballpark
eg. "uno" "troubleshooting" site:https://forum.arduino.cc.
That should for all intents put most of the results for UNO and in most cases seperate the troubleshooting section from a lot of the crud..
Add a year or month or user name and get even closer if you want.
