How to send data from linino to the MCU, without the key, value method ??

Dear all,

i try to transfer an old Project from a Pi + arduino Uno combination to the Yun. Therefor I need some way to send a String from the linino (in the perfect case by a Python script) to the MCU similar to the serial method, used to communicate between PC (USB) and the MCU.
I tried different methods like the bridge library, but key, value did not work for me,because I want to send the String directly to the MCU, without any verifying and lack of time.

I hope you could help me :slight_smile:

with NTP(real time clock), mysql's AUTO_INCREMENT, TIMESTAMP help, all you need just send value.

On the Leonardo:

void setup() {
  // put your setup code here, to run once:
Serial1.begin(250000);
Serial.begin(115200);
while (!Serial);
Serial.println("hello");

}

void loop() {
  // put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
  while(Serial1.available()){
    Serial.print(char(Serial1.read()));
  }

}

Open the serial monitor, ssh into the AR9331
On the AR9331:

~# echo one > /dev/ttyATH0
~# echo two > /dev/ttyATH0
~# echo three > /dev/ttyATH0

Misreading OP, my solution is for MCU to Linino. Please use noblepepper solution instead of.

Thank you :),

I already thought about using the serial connection between the MCU and A9331 like shown in the example program YunSerialMonitor, but i have got some Problems by doing this, i hope your code could help me. I will try this as son as possible.
