How to send microsecendspulse to servo

Using the HCPCA9685 Library moving the servo use the command:
HCPCA9685.Servo(servonbr, Posistion);
I would like to the same using microSeconds but no luck wirh Google. Does any know if this is possible?

Are you trying to avoid using the library, the servo controller or both ?

How about simply using the servo-library?

Or do you mean using a HCPCA9685-PCB and creating the pulses "from scatch" with using functions like "micros()?

Why would you do it that way?
A servo expects an exact timed pulse once every 20 milliseconds and if you try to create them "from scratch" you have to make sure that the executiontime of loop is less than 1 millisecond because you have to switch off the pulse after 1 millisecond.
The other way would be to use a timer-interrupt "from scratch"

again the question: what do you want to do

in the end?

learn tight timed programming?
drive servos using a HCPCA9685-PCB?

You need to map pos to microseconds. Looking at the HCPCA9685 code should allow you to work that out.

From a quick look I THINK the pos value is given in 4096ths of the cycle time which should be 20ms (20000us). But there's also an offset somewhere which is probably SERVO_MIN, so defaults to 110/4096ths.

If that's correct then pos 0 = 20000/4096 * 110 us (537us) and pos 480 = 2344us, which would make sense. I'll let you work out your required values from there. Give it a try.
