Hi al! I'm new and I need advice on how to get started.
I'd like to change the electrical system in my home from standard to controlled, but I don't know what components to use
All the lighting points and all the controlled sockets are now activated by a step by step relay with ac command, all the relays are inside a panel; so it should not be difficult to make the transition.
There are at this time thirty relays and thirty commands, but I need 6 more inputs for more complex commands.
The relays that absorb more current reach almost 1 kw; probably I should eliminate them since they are step by step and electromechanical, so without the possibility of knowing their status. I have no problems with programming, but I would like advice on implementation.
Thank you for your reply They are very ingesting questions. Lucky for me, I own my home,I haven't mortgage, I'm a computer programmer and my friend is licensed electrician and he help me to make the installation.
I would like onlg know which Arduino model could suit my needs, if it is a reliable tool enough to last engaged for years.
I have also seen the Elegoo modules, but I do not know if they are robust enough for the purpose, or I need to use civil relaus.
That's such a very nice project you'll build there. I hope that I can see how cool it's being built by you Mency.
I've understood your problem to choose which modules that will suit your project to change standard electrical system to controlled one. I could see that you have no problem in coding as well which is good.
I think that you will need Esp 8266 modules, hc-05 bluetooth module and arduino mega will suit your needs Mency and your future development.
