How to store data on a SD and retrieve it for later use.

Dear Forum Members,

I'm practically a new user and would appreciate some guidance to an answer I'm looking for. I expect my question is already somewhere mentioned on this forum, so please direct me to it.

I've made a pressure indicator with an Arduino Duemilanove and a SCP1000 Breakout board. This works great, but I would like to store the information (until the memory full) on a SD-card. After a 1 minute sample I would like to retrieve the information into a computerfile for later processing.

What I would like to know is: How can I store some data on a SD-Card, how tore retrieve it and what would be the best solution to buy (what components).

There are so many different breakout board, that it's hard for me to pick used one and start trying.

Many thanks for any help I can get.

DOSER.

Thanks KE7KGP for your reply.

What I would like to do is store information on a SD card.
Later on I need this information. It's not so important how much the info is or for how long the sampling will take.

Could you help me with an example of storing info gathered with an Arduino Duemilnave?

Thanks, DOSER
