Well hello guys? Just want to ask how to power up a cheap laser using the arduino, used to connect to 5v and gnd of arduino but doesnt work. Anyone can help? Thanks in advanced. Btw the output of the laser is 1mW
Please provide some more technical details of the laser you're trying to use. "Cheap" doesn't really cover it. Perhaps a datasheet or at least a link to where you got it.
BTW the required input would be a lot more useful than the output.
Steve
Powering a laser pointer is more difficult than you might think.

How did you connect 5v and gnd and to what? Do you have any idea what you are doing at all? Do you have any idea how little you've explained? Is 'cheap' a model of laser we're all supposed to know about?
INTP. Don't be sarcastic. Everybody is a beginner at some point. Use your time to help instead.

And you've helped . . . . how?

INTP did help in requesting more detail from the OP. Can you solve the problem or even understand it without? Go on have a go if you think you’re good enough.
Mods must be laughing if the OP and this 1-post-knight have the same IP ![]()
