I have atmel 32u4 board (clone of leonardo). I have wrote some sketch for it and its working good. The only thing that's very bad for me it is a very log delay(several seconds) after power supply on. I know it is a standard delay in bootloader.
I have another arduino board and bitbang cable.
I think that if I upload sketch with no bootloader directly to the board via bitbang there will be no any delay after power connection.
Is it true?
If it is true where can I find hex file of my complied project in arduino?
What fuses I have to use if I want to upload sketch this way.
Or I winder if exist another way to make board with no delay on start?
If you can upload a bootloader, then you can upload a sketch.
Use the File:Upload using programmer option in the IDE. No messing with fuses or hex files.
This will wipe out the bootloader, and your sketch will start immediately after a reset.
When you say bitbang, do you mean connect to the X3 connecter next to the FTDI chip?
If so, I don't know.
What I would do instead is load the ISP programmer sketch into the Duemilanove and let the sketch program the Leonardo.
You would connect:
Programmer Leonardo
SCK SCK
MOSI MOSI
MISO MISO
+5 +5
GND GND
D10 Reset
