How to use Atmel Studio to program Nano 33 BLE Sense

Hi there,

For most of my Arduino projects I use Atmel Studio in conjunction with AVRDude and this has served me well for years.

At the moment I'm having a go with the Nano 33 BLE Sense and some Tensorflow lite ML. and for testing small stuff out the Arduino IDE is ok, but in larger projects it has some limitations and I cannot work with it.

So I'm looking for a way to use Atmel Studio (or visual studio for that matter), I just need some substitute for AVRDude that can handle the programming part.

Some of you have a solution ?

Hello Tokelu,

I use Visual Studio when I am working on the Nano 33 Sense. I just installed the extension Platform IO (https://platformio.org/) and it works pretty well. Platform IO has tonnes of boards and access to all (that I have needed so far) of the libraries you can get on the Arduino IDE.

The documentation is pretty good so you should have no trouble getting to grips with it.

Hope that helps.
Matt

Hey Matt,

Perfect! this seems to be exactly what I need.

Thank you very much
