Hi can someone please advise me on how to link the nrf905 rf transceiver to my mega so I can use a normal garage remote to switch relays?? Thanks a bunch!

Welcome! You have an interesting assortment of parts to interconnect. To answer your question connect the nrf905 with jumper wires to the mega. Add some code and you got it. Well maybe first you need to determine what frequency the door opener is operating at, what brand and what coding scheme it is using. Them things have there RF modulated so you do not open your neighbor's door. Now to keep the world safe they use a keylog or some other rolling code to discourage hacking. Once you have that you can start programming well there are a few other things that come to mind. We are here to help, we are NOT a free design service. Start with a schematic, and post your preliminary code along with links to technical information on all the hardware parts. Read the links PeterBebbington gave you, they will be a big help to all.
